Former WBA "regular" super middleweight champion Tyron Zeuge (24-1-1) will come back after over three years out. Zeuge has signed with the newly formed Fides Sport and promoter Burim Sylejmani. When and where the comeback will take place has yet to be announced.

Zeuge always showed talent when he turned pro with Team Sauerland but also almost always showed problems in putting it all together. He drew controversially with Italian Giovanni De Carolis the first time they fought, did put it together in the rematch and stopped De Carolis in the last round.

He lost the title to Rocky Fielding and in the turmoil afterwards both he and trainer Juergen Braehmer broke away from Sauerland (or was fired). Tyron fought once in 2018 and once in 2019.

Hussein Muhamed (16-0) and Agron Smakici (19-1), both Germany-based, are co-challengers for the vacant EU title. The EBU has set September 6 as the deadline for purse bids.

In regards to the EBU heavyweight title there are still no challengers for the vacant title. Difficult fights for relatively small money keeps the big boys away even if the belt is prestigious with a long tradition.
