Look at what happened in Sweden last night said Donald Trump when he was looking to become President of the United States in 2017. As it was nothing had happened in Sweden that night.

However, things do happen and one city with (greatly exaggerated it must be said) a bad reputation is Malmoe in the south of Sweden. In that city the part called Rosengard (where famed football / soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic was born and raised) has an even worse reputation.

And this is where Hadi Hamani Promotion made their Swedish debut last night (Aug 31) with a six-fight four rounders only bill.

The bad reputation this part of the city has and poor marketing held the crowd down and there were lots of organisational problems as well. Just when the show was about to begin the ring lights crashed down - no joke - and had anyone been in the ring when this happened there could have been a serious injury. As it was the lights were removed and the ring was cleaned up and then the show got off the ground.

Local hero and super welter Simon "the Bullet" Henriksson (7-3) headlined and outscored Hungarian Richard Baba (4-6). Simon looked shaken in the second but scored well with heavy hooks to the body and Baba faded and lost clearly. This should have been a six-rounder but the special Swedish legislation put a stop to this and HHP was too late in their application for special permission to stage a fight for over 12 minutes duration.

EU light heavy champ Italian-Ukrainian Sergey Demchenko (22-14-1) defends the title against Frenchman Pierre Dibombe (17-0-1) on November 15 in Pessac. Fighting on the road is nothing new for Demchenko who´s made a career out of it with around eight title fights outside of Italy where he resides.

Demchenko vs Dibombe have another EU title fight as co-headliner as welterweight Jordy Weiss (24-0) take on Spanish veteran Jose Del Rio (29-8-1) on this EuroProm Promotion.

Former WBA super middleweight titleholder Tyron Zeuge (24-1-1) takes on fellow German Yusuf Kanguel (19-3-1) on November 23 in a defence of the EU title. Site is to be announced. This fight as promoted by Z! Promotion.

According to Spanish website Espabox an all-French "world" title fight could be in the works for later this as WBA super welterweight Gold champ Michel Soro (34-2-1) making a possible defence of the title against Cedric Vitu (47-3) later this year.

Vitu is also official challenger for the EBU 154 lb title where Spaniard Sergio Garcia is champion. Ringstar Promotions won purse bids for this fight and have announced it will go ahead on September 28. However, according to Espabox Vitu is currently in Spain on vacation and and not in training for a big fight a month away.
