Heavyweight veteran and trainer Sherman "Tank" Williams is back in Denmark and this time to train Sarah Mahfoud as she prepares for her title fight February 1 on Copenhagen against IBF interim featherweight champ Brenda Carbajal.

Williams previously trained other Danish fighters such as cruiserweight Ditlev Rossing. Mahfoud has Elena Gradinar as chief sparring and Gradinar will also fight on the undercard to Mahfoud vs Carbajal.

Swedish super middleweight Hampus Henriksson (4-0) has his first fight in over two years on January 25 in Hamburg on the "new" Universum´s first show of the new year.

Henriksson has spent a lot of time in the US being trained by Jimmy Montoya, who is still on board as adviser. Henriksson´s opponent on January 25 will be Croatian Leo Cvetkovic, who comes with a modest 1-1 record but won a silver in the U22 European championships.

Headlining the show is Robert Harutyunyan vs Romulo Koasicha in an IBO Int´l title fight at super featherweight.

Off the bill is big heavyweight Agron Smakici.

Danish-Swedish Hadi Hamane Promotions have quietly closed down during the fall and all fighters are free agents. HHP had big plans and got two shows off the ground, one in Denmark and the last one in Malmoe, Sweden. Both shows lost money and there was financial problems all along.

Swedish cruiser champ Samo Jangirov (4-2-1) defends the title against Marcus Alberts (6-5-1) on February 22 in Katrineholm. In their first fight Jangirov won a close but deserved the decision after a very tough fight and the rematch is something to look forward to.

The 50th edition of the annual Boxing Day (Dec 26) showing in Bern (Switzerland) produced an excellent main event where unheralded Chinese lightweight Ju Wu upset local hero Alain Chervet and won a majority decision after ten rounds.

In the chief support Yoann Kongolo drew with Argentinian Facundo Nicolas Galovar over eight.
