EBU super welterweight champ Sergio Garcia will not fight on the big Matchroom / OPI since 82 / DAZN show at the Palau D´hebron in Barcelona on April 23 as he couldn't come to terms with the promoters.

The opponent was supposed to have been Colombian Joel Julio (39-5).. On the bill now is Norwegian featherweight Bernard Torres (14-0), who takes on Anuar Salas (20-8-1).

In the main event EBU super lightweight ruler Sandor Martin defends the title against Kay Proper (14-1-1).

WBA "regular" cruiserweight champ Ryad Merhy will not fight Samuel Kadjo in a non-title fight as previously reported. Merhy and Kadjo will however meet in the ring on May 1 in Liege but it will be an exhibition bout scheduled for eight rounds with 18 ounce gloves.

"Because of the long coronavirus related layoff we want Ryad to get the feeling back of being in the ring, like it is in a real fight," says promoter Alain Vanackere. "But it is a sparring session, or exhibition."

Kadjo (15-1) is already in Belgium sparring with the champion.

Kadje is ranked # 13 by the WBC in the bridgerweight division and can only be described as a dangerous opponent for anyone. Merhy has Yunier Dorticos as mandatory challenger.

Heavyweight Herve Hubeaux (32-3) is in against David Spilmont (10-5) on the same bill. Hubeaux is the mandatory challenger for the EU title held by Tony Yoka.

Heavyweight Oleksandr Zakhozhyi (15-0) stopped Pole Sergiej Werweijko (11-4) in the very first round and won the vacant WBC Francophone title on this Facher Sport show in Karlsruhe (Germany) on April 17.

The scheduled ten-rounder was over at 1:19. This fight was elevated to the main event after the IBF eliminator between Evgeny Shvedenko and Aidos Yerbossynuly fell through due to a positive coronavirus test.

Fight Life Promotions in Orebro, Sweden, have a big show planned for July 10. The event will be streamed live but will go ahead without an audience. Heavyweight Pezhman Seifkhani (11--0) headlines and is set to fight Czech Radek Varak (8-8).

At cruiserweight, national champ Samo Jangirov (5-2-1) will again defend the title against Marcus Alberts (6-6-1). This is the third fight between the two and Jangirov leads 2-0 but both previous fights have been tough, exciting brawls.

The Swedish title is also at stake in the super middle clash between Niclas Elfstedt (9-1) and Tijan Kebbeh (4-1-2). Neither man has ever fought on Swedish soil as Elfstedt has since lived for a few years in Malta while Kebbeh has had all of his fights in Germany.
