Spanish super lightweight Sandor Martin (38-2) has finally relinquished the EBU title to concentrate on bigger fights abroad. Martin is ranked WBA # 7, WBA, # WBC 8 and WBO # 12.

Martin, whose management reportedly has close ties with the WBA, was in line to defend the EBU title against mandatory challenger Dane Enoch Poulsen for some time now, but that fight has been unable to come off due to COVID 19.

Poulsen will now fight the highest available challenger in the EBU ratings.

According to reports, Martin is in line to face four division champion Mikey Garcia on October 16 in the United States.
