Super lightweight Sandor Martin (39-2) will headline the first Matchroom show of the year in Barcelona, Spain on April 1, reports Espabox. No opponent is named. Also on the bill could be featherweight Samuel Carmona (6-0) and super featherweight Moussa Gholam (19-0). The show is not yet announced by Matchroom.

Matchroom are also promoting a show in Bilbao on May 20 featuring super welter Kerman Lejarraga (34-2) who - again according to Espabox - will take part in a world title eliminator of some kind.

Danes Jakob Bank and Michael Nielsen face tough opponents on TK Promotions show in Holstebro (Denmark) April 8. Nielsen, a super bantam with a 6-1 record, is in against vastly more experienced Thomas Essomba (10-7-1). Super middle Bank (5-0) face Frenchman Idaas Redjal (10-3-2).

The show is headlined by Dina Thorslund's defense of the WBO female bantamweight title against Niorkis Carreno.

French lightweight Sofiane Oumiha finally got to make his pro debut and knocked out Venezuelan Anderson Rangel (6-9-1) in the fourth of a scheduled six-rounder on Saturday night (Feb 26) in Barcelona, Spain.

In the main event featherweight Cristobal Lorente (14-0-1) stopped Nicaraguan Ricardo Martinez (7-6-0) in the final round of their scheduled eight-rounder.

Italian super bantam Luca Rigoldi (26-2-2) won the vacant EU title Friday (Feb 25) in Vicenza by stopping Frenchman Hugo Legros (14-2-2) in the ninth.

In the chief support middleweight Carlo De Novellis (9-4-1) won the vacant national title with a split decision win over Andrea Roncon (18-7-1).

In the main fights middleweight Nabil Messaoud (8-0) knocked out Venezuelan visitor Ivan Matute (30-5) in the second and his brother Anas (13-0) outscored Luis Enrique Romero (9-5-1) over eight.

Former Spanish light heavyweight champ Emilio Garcia has passed away at the age of 65, reports Espabox. Garcia compiled a modest record of 3-6-1 fighting professionally from 1977 to 1983 but it includes a win and a draw against 100+ fight veteran Avenamar Peralta.

Swedish Fight Life Promotions will promote a show in St Julians, Malta, on March 30, with heavyweight Pezhman Seifkhani (13-0) headlining. Reigning Swedish super middleweight champ Niclas Elfstedt (11-1) who resides in Malta is also on the bill and is now promoted by Fight Life.
