Gcina Makhoba left no doubt in retaining the World Boxing Federation (WBF) International super flyweight title on Sunday October 2 at the Town Hall in Pietermartizburg, South Africa.

The champion convincingly stopped challenger Musawenkosi Ndwandwe in the second round, improving his professional record to 8-1-1 (3).

Makhoba dropped Ndwandwe early in round two, and then finished his foe with ferocious combinations shortly after. Ndwandwe falls to 7-5 (2).

This was a rematch, as Makhoba had won the vacant title by technical decision against Ndwandwe in February of 2020. This was his second title-defense.

The fight headlined a card promoted by Nomvela Shezi.
