British-Polish promoter Martin Mikolajczak had a difficult night on September 4 in Ostrava, Czech Republic, when several fights, including the main event, fell apart at the last minute.

As it was, Irish super lightweight Declan Geraghty (20-5) ended up fighting Czech novice Viacheslav Shulevskyi (2-0) and stopped him in the fifth round. Despite the late change of opponent the vacant UBO title was still at stake.

Comebacking Polish heavyweight Pawel Kolodziej (35-1) fought and beat Petr Frohlich (2-33-1), who was another very late substitute.

German Petko's Box Promotion staged a show at the Hansehalle in Luebeck with welterweight John Bielenberg on top.

Bielenberg (3-0) knocked out Evgenij Melzer (1-4) in the first round to win the Int'l German (BDB version) title. Melzer was a very late sub.

On the same show super middleweight Shefat Ifusi (31-4-2) won the vacant WBFed I-C title with a points win over Czech Tomas Adamek (29-20-1).

Hungarian New School Promotion had super welterweight Balazs Bacskai headlining their show in Budapest on Friday night. Bacskai won the vacant WBO I-C title with a wide points win over Argentinian Guido Nicolas Pitto (27-9-2).

In the chief support, middleweights Peter Kramer (11-3-3) and Gabor Gorbics (26-20-2) drew in a ten rounder with vacant national title at stake.
