It is not officially confirmed yet by the WBA but it appears to be a fact that they will recognize the Bridgerweight title.

According to German site boxen1.com the inaugural title fight will be staged on December 9 in Dubai where the troubled IBA (International Boxing Association) will hold a congress.

Fighting for the vacant WBA Bridgerweight title will be German Leon Harth ((22-5-1) and Russian Evgeny Tishchenko (12-1).

Both men have campaigned as cruiserweights in the past and Harth fought to a controversial draw against Jean Jacques Oliveri in his last fight, which was for the IBF European cruiserweight title.

Tishchenko's last fight was a split decision over Belgian Yves Ngabu at home in Ekaterinburg. The judges had it 99-91 Ngabu and 98-92 and 96-94 for the Russian.

The WBA has announced that its Continental super welterweight champ Oliver Meng (12-0) from Denmark will defend the title November 30 against Italian Felice Montelli (24-8-1). The fight will probably happen - but not on that date.
