Hungarian cruiserweight Imre Szello, 20-0, takes on Venezuelan Williams Ocando, 18-5, on Friday (May 11) at the Laszlo Papp Hall in Szentes.

On the undercard middleweight Norbert Harcsa, 8-1, returns after almost a year out and square off against Polish veteran Mariusz Biskupski. 23-46-2 on this Felix Racz promotion.

Welterweights Deniz Ilbay (19-1) takes on Dennis Krieger (14-5-2) on June 2 in Hannover with the vacant GBU title at stake in an all German matchup. This fight goes ahead on the undercard to Arthur Mann vs Micki Nielsen.

Sauerland Event won purse bids today in Rome for the right to stage Yves Ngabu´s defence of the EBU cruiserweight title against Noel Gevor.

Sauerland will promote the fight June 29 with site to be announced. While there are no games on this day it must be said that finding a TV date during the World Cup in football / soccer isn´t easy.

Turkish super middleweight Avni Yildirim (18-1) defends the WBC Int´l super middleweight title against Canadian Ryan Ford (14-2) on May 12 in Hurth (Germany).

Yildirim beat capable veteran Derek Edwards last time out and has two wins since getting blown away by Chris Eubank Jr. in the World Boxing Super Series Tournament.

If all goes well for Yildrim, then a fight against Danish contender Lolenga Mock could be next - at least that is what Mock told media in Denmark.

Swedish welterweight Laziz Sharifov, now 5-0, beat Bakar Gelenidze on Saturday night in Stockholm. Laziz of Kazak descent reminds one of a young Gennady Golovkin both in looks and style and is one to watch but is still a freelancer and without backing of a promoter. On top of that the Swedish Martial Arts Law makes it difficult to move  a prospect forward the way it should be done.
