IBO welterweight champ South African Thulani Mbenge (15-0, 12 KOs) defends the title on July 7 in Hamburg (Germany) against Sebastian Formella (20-0, 10 KOs) on an EC Boxing Promotion.  Formella works in the huge port in Hamburg and is a big ticketseller. He is a very good boxer but may lack to punch to make it all the way.

Meanwhile stablemate Michael Wallisch (19-1) is booked to fight April 27 in Las Vegas against Efe Ajabga (9-0). Wallisch's last fight was a loss to Christian Hammer and it appears that he is in tough against Ajagba.

According to promoter Erol Ceylan there is also a big fight in the works for light heavy  and former EBU and WBO champ Igor Michalkin (22-2).

Badou Jack Promotions stage their first show in Dubai May 3 and Swedish light heavyweight Oscar Ahlin (17-2) is booked to fight on the show. Ahlin is a close friend of Badou Jack and good fighter who can punch a bit. As for opponent it is to be announced. Also on for the bill is another Swede and that is super welter Simon Henriksson (5-3).

The first professional boxing show ever in Uppsala, Sweden, took place tonight with local hero and super welter Salah Nazar Taha (3-0) topping the bill and he outscored Georgian Shalva Guchmazovi (1-3-1) in a four rounder. Taha showed a good southpaw jab and won on scores of 40-36, 40-37 and 39-37.

Ahmet Rossi, 6-0 and reigning Swedish champ at 154, was too strong for Irakli Jeranashvili (13-12-6) and was a clear winner at the end of their four-rounder. Jeranashvili had two points deducted for holding.

Featherweight prospect Daniel Gustavsson (4-0) impressed as he outscored Ukrainan Eduard Mirinets (4-7-1) over four.

In the show´s best and toughest fight Georgian Otari Gogoberishvili (10-11-3) outscored Swede Johannes Vinasco (7-2) over four.

Former WBC female super welterweight champ Mikaela Lauren (31-5) retired last year but a lucrative offer from Canada have made her come back and she takes on IBF champ Marie Eve Dicaire (14-0) April 13 in Montreal.
