As Dan Rafael was the first to report, the IBF # 1 eliminator between Evgeny Shvedenko and Caleb Truax set for January 22 in Karlsruhe (moved from January 14 one can add) was postponed. Also postponed is the fight for the vacant EU heavyweight title between Evginios Lazarides and Jack Mulowayi.

However, the show is still in place and Facher Sports goes ahead with a somewhat trimmed down event with no crowd allowed and streamed live by BILD+. Middleweight Simon Zachenbhuber (14-0) square off against Maurice Morio (8-1) for the vacant IBF Youth title, Karen Chukhadzhian (19-1) vs Ryan Martin (14-2-1) in a IBF I-C title fight at super welter is still on and so is Andre Veliikovskyi (19-2-2) vs Rafael Bejaran (29-5-1) for the vacant IBO Intercontinental middleweight belt.

 Also on the bill is heavyweight Sascha Zakhozhyi (15-0), who is in against Czech Pavel Sour.(14-6).

EC Boxing promotes its first show of the new year, which goes ahead on February 26 at the EC Gym in Hamburg. And former IBO and EBU light heavyweight champ Igor Mikhalkin (24-3) looks to get his career back on track against former amateur star Xhek Paskali (6-0-1), who began his career co-promoted by EC and Team Sauerland but has been inactive for some time now.

Heavyweight Igor "The Hulk" Shevadzutskyi (9-0) is in against American veteran Kevin "Kingpin" Johnson (35-18-1).

British and Commonwealth middleweight titlist Felix Cash (14-0) is now the mandatory challenger for EBU champ Matteo Signani (31-5-3). There's no date set for purse bids.

The  42-year old Italian veteran defended the title against Ruben Diaz last time out. The fight against Cash, if it comes off, will be his third defense of the title.

Norwegian cruiser Kai Robin Havnaa (16-0) will headline a Wasserman Sports promotion in Arendal March 12 - if the restrictions around Corona allows it, writes VG. Who Havnaa will fight isn't announced but promoter Nisse Sauerland says a deal is close.

Havna, soon to be 33, has been inactive since November of 2019 when he beat Argentinian Mariano Gudino. The aftermath to that fight was as BoxingScene reported quite controversial as Gudino never received his purse after a positive doping test.

A fight against then IBO champ Kevin Lerena was almost on during 2020 but never materialized.

The mayor of Kiev, Ukraine, former heavyweight champ Vitali Klitschko promises he will be at the front line should Russia attack.

"As a former soldier I am ready to defend my country," said Klitschko to Channel 4.

"We do not want to return to the USSR", added Klitschko.
