EC Boxing in Hamburg put together a three-fight show at their almost empty gym with heavyweight Viktor Faust (4-0) headlining against Yakup Saglam (43-7). Don't let the record fool you but Saglam gave Faust a solid workout before he retired with a possible busted eardrum and didn't come out for the sixth and final round.

In another heavyweight fight Michael Wallisch (21-4) stopped faded veteran Kai Kurzawa (43 years old and 38-10). Kurzawa was down in the third, fourth and fifth before he was retired by his corner. Kai was at one time promoted by Sauerland Event and fought for the EBU light heavyweight title. This was his fourth straight stoppage loss.

Welter Volkan Gokcek (4-0) outscored Octavian Gratii (5-9-1) over six in the third and final fight.

In Pont St Maxence, France, Hugo Legros (11-1-2) won the national super bantamweight title with a hard fought points win over defending champion Thomas Barbier (10-21-1). There was no crowd allowed in the venue.

Super welterweight Jorge Fortea (20-2-1) headlined a show in Cullera, Spain, and stopped Kelly Figueroa (12-15-4) in the sixth round of a scheduled eight-rounder. In other action super lightweight Alin Florin Ciorceri (14-2) outscored Bryan Alexis Carguacundo (2-3-2) over six. It was scored 59-55 on all cards, reports espabox.com

On Friday (Oct 30) in Vantaa, Finland, light heavy Timo Laine (28-14-0-1) knocked out Maksims Ogurcovs (0-6) in the very first round and it looked very easy as the Latvian took the full count after a body punch. Laine is often on the road fighting one tough fight after another and needed a breather but this was a little too easy. Ogurcovs have on previous visits to Sweden and Finland done a lot better even if he's lost.

IBO cruiserweights champ Kevin Lerena defends the title December 12 in South Africa with an opponent to be announced. Dane Ditlev Rossing was asked but turned down the offer and according to his promoter Mogens Palle there are other options on the table.

WBA cruiserweight king - the super champ version - Arsen Goulamirian (26-0) will defend the title December 13 behind closed doors in Cannet Cote d'Azur against Russian Yuri Kashinsky (19-1). It will be Goulamirian's first fight of the year.
