It was a busy weekend in Poland with three shows in two days.

Friday (March 25) Babilon Promotions staged a show headlined by super middleweight Lukasz Stanioch (8-0) who outscored Frenchman Hadillah Mohoumadi (23-6-1) on a split decision. After eight the judges had it 77-75 for the Pole and 78-74 for the visitor.

Lukas Deky (7-0) outscored Damian Kiwior (9-4-1) over ten to win the vacant Polish super welterweight title. Deky hails from the Czech Republic and is worth keeping an eye on.

Yesterday (March 26) in Bialystok saw the return of former EBU middleweight champ Kamil Szeremeta (22-2-1) who stopped Belgian veteran Sasha Yengoyan (45-9-1) in the tenth round.

Szeremeta lost to Gennadiy Golovkin and Jamie Munguia in the US.

Light heavyweight Pawel Stepien (17-0-1) outscored Argentinian Ezquiel Maderna (27-8) over eight.

Finally in Bedzin Cuban super middleweight Ihosvany Garcia (7-0) was much too good German Patrick Rohkohl (22-2) and stopped him in the third round.

Unbeaten heavyweight Marcin Siwy outscored American veteran Rydell Booker (26-5-1) over eight but failed to impress.

The headline of the article at Espabox sums it up well. In free translation it reads "McDonnell and Warrington beat Martinez."

Unfortunately referee Marcus McDonnell took center stage in Leeds when he allowed Josh Warrington to get away with what at best was the very dangerous use of the head.

After the first head butt / not so accidental clash of heads, Martinez was badly cut and was visible staggered, but got no time out and from then on it just got worse.
