It's official: Norwegian cruiserweight Kai Robin Havnaa (17-0) headlines a Norway Boxing Promotions show at the Chateau Neuf in Oslo January 28. Opponent is Egyptian Hanif Atiyo (18-6), who has previously lost to the likes of Badou Jack and Roy Jones Jr. Havnaa is as previously reported training in New York with Joey Gamache as coach.

In the chief support, featherweight Bernard Torres (16-1) meets Venezuelan Cristian Avila (17-7-1) and welterweights Jamshid Nazari (8-1) and Dane Frank Madsen (7-3) clash.

UK promoter BOXXER will promote the fight for the vacant EBU light heavyweight title between Thomas Faure (21-4-1) and Dan Azeez (17-0) sometime in March of next year.

Azeez came on Saturday night and blasted out Rocky Fielding.

Petko's Fight Night stage a big show (quantity wise) in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen (Germany) on Saturday (Dec 17). In the headliner Austrian middleweight Edin Avdic (4-0) is in against Mario Katic (2-9).

A late addition to the show is middleweight Simon Zachenhuber (18-0) who takes on Deniz Altz (12-6). Zachenhuber was booked to fight on the Timo Schwarzkopf show that was cancelled.

French welterweight Souleymane Cissokho (16-0) defeated South African Tulani Mbenge (19-2) in Nantes (France) with the vacant WBC Silver title at stake.

Despite his success in the pros Cissokho wants to participate in the 2024 Olympics in Paris - which is very likely to be the final Olympics with "amateur boxing" on the program. Souleymane won a bronze medal in 2016 in Rio.
