Former WBA world champ at super middleweight, Giovanni De Carolis (32-10-1), meets Brazilian Douglas Ataide (19-3-1) July 1 in Rome at an event put on by De Carolis Promotion.

De Carolis is also mandatory challenger for the EBU title held by Frenchman Kevin Lele Sadjo (20-0). As previously reported there are purse bids for that fight on June 6 but appears both fighters have different plans for their respective careers.

Universum Box Promotion's show on June 3 was first all set for Duesseldorf, then moved to Bochum, then to Essen and was then cancelled but a part of the show will now go ahead at the Universum Gym in Hamburg on Saturday with two WBC title fights heading the bill.

Croatian super middleweight prospect Luka Plantic (5-0) defends the WBC International Silver title against Yusuf Kanguel (22-5-1) and light heavyweight Leon Bunn (16-1) and Serhat Guler (2-0) clash for the WBC International Silver title.

Also on the bill is Cuban heavy Jose Larduet (9-0) and Belarus lightweight star Dzimitry Asanau (6-0).

The reason for the numerous troubles around the show were fights between various YouTubers and celebrities world famous in German speaking countries. They pull in big crowds but also a lot of trouble.

Former WBC super welterweight champ Patricia Berghult (16-1) has been named official challenger to the EBU title held by French lady Priscilla Peterle (8-0). If no agreement the fight goes to purse bids on June 14.

Peterle won the title in April of last year and this will be her first defense.
