The much anticipated rematch between Italian super middleweights Giovanni De Carolis (31-10-1) and Daniele Scardina (20-1) that was set for March 3 in Milano is off.

Scardina and Opi since 92 has issued an official statement that says that Scardina can't make the weight and will now move up to light heavyweight.

De Carolis stopped the then undefeated Scardina in the fifth round in what was regarded as an upset.

Danish Fight Night Promotions returns to action March 4 in Albertslund on the outskirts of Copenhagen. For promoter Bettina Palle it's her first event without her father, the legendary Mogens Palle.

Headlining the bill are former IBF female featherweight champion Sarah Mahfoud (11-1) and WBC Youth super welterweight title holder Oliver Meng (9-0).

Swedish super lightweight Anthony Yigit (26-2-1) is not just the chief sparring partner for EBU 140 lb ruler Enock Poulsen (12-0) as he prepares for the showdown against mandatory challenger Franck Petitjean (23-6-3). He has also been appointed coach and will be the chief cornerman when the champion enters the ring on February 4 in Creteil (France).

Frenchman Mohammed Kani (21-3) defends the EU welterweight title against Italian champion Pietro Rossetti (16-1) March 11 in Montpelier (France).

The winner will "inherit" unbeaten Italian Nicholas Esposito (17-0) as mandatory challenger.

AGON Sports stage two shows in two days at the AGON Sportpark in Berlin. On February 24 EU middleweight champion Bjorn Schicke (20-1-1) headlines while heavyweights Granit Shala (13-0) and Jack Mulowayi (13-3-1) meet for the vacant EU title the day after.

All in all eleven fights and a total of 80 rounds of boxing are promised. More to come!

Promoter and fighter Timo Schwarzkopf (21-5) was forced to cancel his show late last year but has now rescheduled it and will now square off against former world champ Miguel Vazquez (44-11) on February 4 in Wangen (Germany).
