Danish promoter Mogens Palle pulled no punches as usual when interviewed in Ekstrabladet and BT last week. Palle made it clear that the show on April 21 in Copenhagen will be his last.

The soon to be 88-year old Hall of Fame promoter has been battling cancer for some time and it has now taken a turn for the worse. The doctors involved presented a plan for further treatment but Palle feels it's no point and will only prolong the inevitable.

Mogens Palle began promoting professional boxing events in 1957 and was for decades a giant in the Nordic countries as well as a dominating force in European boxing.

"I began with a successful show and will hopefully go out with one," said Palle.

Headlining the final Palle show are super lightweights Enock Poulsen (11-0) and Franck Petitjan (23-5-3) in a fight for the vacant EBU title and Sarah Mahfoud (10-0) defends the IBF female featherweight title against Nina Meinke (12-2).
