Los Mochis, Sinaloa. The excitement grows in this population of Norte de Sinaloa where the Arce Promotions is putting together a big card that features a bout for the silver WBC super featherweight title bout between Eduardo Escobedo of Mexico and Colombian boxer Aristides Pérez, scheduled for twelve rounds on June 26. Escobedo (27-3, 19 KOs) who is under the wing of famed trainer Nacho Beristain, and Perez (18-1, 10 KOs) will fight on a nationally televised card on Televisa.

The WBC bout will be supervised by Mr. Carlos Hinojosa. The judges will be Jesus Cobian of Los Angeles, California and Hernando Staider and Roberto Ramirez of Puerto Rico.

In the second fight former world jr. lightweight champion of the WBA, Juan Carlos Salgado will face world ranked Guadalupe "Bronco" Rosales ten rounds at lightweight.

The third fight will be the star boxer from Los Mochis, Sinaloa Edgar Ruiz (20-7, 12 KOs) and Bladimir Hernandez (18-3, 16 KOs) will fight for the WBC Latin super welterweight belt.

For Escobedo, the fight will not be easy. Perez is an experienced 29 years of age fighter who already fought for a world title on September 15, 2009 in Cancún, Querétaro against triple world champion Humberto "Zorrita" Soto, losing by knockout in a short but explosive fight.

For Escobedo, this will be his second title shot after he competed, unsuccessfully, for the WBO Super Bantamweight world title against Daniel Ponce de Leon, losing by unanimous decision on December 8, 2007 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
