After Cuban Olympic gold medalist Odlanier Solis was prohibited to leave Miami and fight as co-feature for Selcuk Aydin vs. Jo Jo Dan II this Saturday (Nov. 26) in Trabzon, Turkey, promoter Ahmet Oner will send his German heavyweight prospect Erkan Teper (6-0) into his toughest test so far against experience Ukrainian Alex Mazikin (17-6-2).

"I wanted Solis to fight Mazikin and Erkan to take on a journeyman from Georgia but now we had to change the plan“, states Oner. „We need another decent fight for TV and I think that this is a good solution. Both guys have had excellent amateur careers, I’m sure this will be a good fight and the best we could do in this difficult situation.“

In another heavyweight clash Czech contender Ondrej Pala (29-2) takes on Darnell Wilson (24-12-3). Wilson scored an upset unanimous decision win over former world cruiserweight champion Juan Carlos Gomez in Hamburg in September and is looking for his second surprise on the road in a row. Before flying to Turkey, the „Ding-A-Ling-Man“ sparred with world champion Wladimir Klitschko in Austia. „Wladimir is a tough guy“, says Wilson. „It took me some days to figure him out but in the end I had a couple of good rounds against him. I’m definitely very well prepared for Pala.“

German middleweight hope Benjamin Simon will also be in action on Saturday in Trabzon against Ruslan Rodivich (8-4) from Belarus.
