Nykoping - Undefeated hometown hero Erik Skoglund moved to 26-0 (12 KOs) with an eleventh round TKO win over Austrian Timy Shala (21-2-1). Skoglund won the vacant WBA International title and ended matters at 2.59 after three knockdowns.

At the time of the stoppage Skoglund was ahead on scores of 98-93, 99-91 and 97-93.

Shala put up a good fight but lacked the power to hurt the Swede. There were lots wrestling on the inside with a number of accidental headbutts where both were cut.

Skoglund picked I believe three different cuts while Shala had a big gash on the forehead. Skoglund was overall the stronger man and better boxer but appeared to make it more difficult than it should have been.

Next up should be a fight for the EBU title against Robert Stieglitz.

Light heavyweight Sven Fornling, 11-1, won the vacant Swedish title with a hard-fought but clear win over Naim Terbunja (10-2) after eight rounds. The three judges all had it 79-73 for Fornling, who walked into some hard hooks early on but kept walking and proved to be the much stronger man down the stretch. Terbunja was a spent force in the last few rounds and said afterwards he felt like a spent force already after first round and he announced his retirement.

Former WBC female super welterweight champ Mikaela Lauren (28-4) stopped brave and durable Hungarian Szilvia Szabados in the sixth and final round.

Super middleweight Hampus Henriksson, 3-0 and fighting for the first time in a year, floored Pole Przemyslaw Binienda, 2-9, with a right hook in the first but had to settle for a points win after four rounds on scores of 39-36 and 40-46 twice. Hampus is managed and trained by Jimmy Montoya and plans to continue his career in the US.

Female super lightweight Patricia Berghult, 5-0, outscored Monika Antonik, 1-1, from Poland over six. The three judges all had it 60-54.
