Former three division champion Erik "El Terrible" Morales is planning to continue fighting. Last Saturday in Las Vegas, Morales showed that he still had a lot left in the tank by losing a twelve round majority decision to Marcos Maidana. The result was very unexpected as most predicted an early knockout victory for Maidana.

In the first minute of the first round, Morales suffered an injury to his right eye. By the end of the first, the right eye was swollen shut. The Mexican warrior admits it was hard to see anything from the right eye and the vaseline being used to treat that injury was blurring his vision. With two working eyes, Morales believes he would have stopped Maidana in seven or eight rounds.

"They were saying I wouldn't last even two or three rounds. They said I was going to get knocked out - and I was the one who had him on the verge of a knockout. And he didn't really hit me with anything. He had nothing," said Morales. "To have both of my eyes, and normal vision - the fight would have been over in seven or eight [rounds] in my estimation."
