Before dozens of reporters, television cameras and photographers, Erik "Terrible" Morales met Scottish boxer Willie Limond, his opponent this Saturday in the Plaza de Toros Mexico. The crowd was so big that it was almost impossible to interview the former triple world champion after the press conference, which was attended by the leading contenders for the evening.

Morales told the grateful crowd "It is an honor and pride to take part in the Bicentennial celebration. I've had a great training camp. First up is Limond and then we'll think of other opponents."

Erik, can you make 135 pounds for a possible match against Humberto Soto?

"I would try, but the talks for a fight against Juan Manuel Marquez are very advanced".

What do you think Limond?

"I have over 10 years in title fights and I do not think he can beat me."

Do you have an advantage due to age?

"It is not always so convenient to test yourself against a young fighter. I want to win a fourth world title in a different division and we have to beat who they put in front of me."

With so many media gatherings to publicize the event, will you be there at 100%?

"Physically and technically, of course yes, but I know I can keep getting better."

Asked whether he will seek fourth fight against Manny Pacquiao:

"I'm going step by step and will try to go down to lightweight."
