Super welterweight contender Erickson “The Hammer” Lubin (22-1) is in the middle of his training camp for his September 19th showdown against Terrell Gausha (21-1-1).

The fight will headline a Premier Boxing Champions on Showtime card. The winner will become the mandatory challenger to the victor of the Jeison Rosario-Jermell Charlo WBA/IBF/WBC unification bout fight takes place a week later.

Tugstsogt Nyambayar faces Eduardo Ramírez in the chief supporting bout. This fight is also an elimination bout with the winner becoming WBC featherweight champion Gary Russell’s mandatory challenger.

According to Lubin’s coach Kevin Cunningham, the 24-year-old has had a tremendous training camp and he expects him to be very impressive on fight night.

“Hammer’s in tremendous shape and within 10 pounds of fight weight with four weeks to go. We have an excellent game plan and the fans can look forward to an explosive and dominant performance on September 19th!” Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.

Lubin has won 4 fights in a row since suffering his only career defeat back in 2017 when he was stopped by WBC super welterweight champion Jermell Charlo.

Gausha has been out of the ring since May, 2019 when be battled Austin Trout to a split draw. He was originally scheduled to face Lubin last October but suffered an injury to his left hand which caused him to pull out of the fight. Lubin would end up beating late replacement Nathaniel Gallimore via unanimous decision.
