Cruiserweight: Victor Ramirez announced his retirement, making room for WBA sub-titlist Beibut Shumenov to enter the top ten.

Jr. Lightweight: It wasn’t as easy the second time around but Jezreel Corrales defeated Takashi Uchiyama for a second time, coming off the floor to win a split decision on the road. It was a game effort on the road and leaves the ratings as they were.

Jr. Featherweight: Japan’s Yukinori Oguni used a knockdown in round three as to catapult to a well-contested title win over previously undefeated Jonathan Guzman. He rises in the ratings while Guzman, who fell by 7-5 scores across the board, slips just a spot.

Jr. Bantamweight: Naoya Inoue laid a beating on veteran former titlist Kohei Kono, handing him his first stoppage defeat and second loss in a row. Kono exits the top ten and undefeated Sho Ishida enters.

Flyweight: Kazuto Ioka was on the deck early but shook it off and won going away in stopping Thailand’s Stamp Kiatwinat. With the win there is now only one WBA titlist in the division, as it should be. Kiatwinat exits the top ten and WBO titlist Zou Shiming enters.

Jr. Flyweight: Three of four major titles were on the line in the last two days of the year and no one made a bigger impression than 21-year old Kosei Tanaka. Looking faster and stronger than he did at 105 lbs., Tanaka walked through durable veteran Moises Fuentes and enters the ratings high. Also entering is undefeated Carlos Canizales who did enough to earn a draw on the road against titlist Ryoichi Taguchi. Fuentes drops to tenth; Jesse Espinas and Ryo Miyazaki are forced out.
