Back on March 22nd, super bantamweight hopeful, Emilio Sanchez was stunningly knocked out by Filipino, Eugene Lagos with an overhand right he never saw coming in the second round. Tonight Sanchez makes his return to the ring at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles against Christopher Martin.

"I feel good, I've been training for the fight for two months, there's no problems," insisted Sanchez, who has a record of 15-1 (10 KO's).

"I'm confident that I know what I've got to to do."

Sanchez states that there will be no lingering effects - physical or mental - from his last bout. Coming into this bout he has a new trainer in Joel Diaz.

"The training went really good, he's always on us. He makes sure we train really hard and we do our running and that we eat right,"said the soft-spoken 24-year old, who spent the past couple of months in Indio, California.

His manager, Frank Espinoza, tells BoxingScene.com - "Obviously the last fight didn't go the way that we would have liked to but we still have a lot of confidence in Emilio's abilities. We look at that last fight as an aberration and now we begin the process of bringing him back. Martin is a solid veteran that has gone quality rounds with many world-class boxers and that's why we chose him for Emilio's return."

"I know that he's a veteran, he'll give me some rounds," said Sanchez, who insists, "I have the same confidence, my last fight, it just happened."
