Chiapas' Emanuel "Pollo" Lopez, current interim-super featherweight champion of the World Boxing Association, will defend his 130-pound title on the 24th of October against Juárez's very dangerous Miguel "Mickey" Roman. The event will be completely televised live on Televisa Deportes as part of its traditional "Saturday Box".

The Monterrey knockout puncher Adrian "Diamond" Estrella, will see action in the co-featured bout of this exciting undercard being put together by Promociones del Pueblo with Box Promotions District of Alberto Cabral.

Lopez captured the interim-title after a ninth round knockout over Colombia's Carlos "Batey" Padilla, and then made his first defense of the world title with a knockout of  Panamanian Rolando "Tractor" Giono.

Lopez, now 25 years-old, boasts a professional record of 19 wins, eight by knockout with 4 losses in exchange for a dangerous opponent in Roman, who has 11 knockouts in his last 14 victories, and has overtaken former world champions Daniel Ponce de Leon and Juan Carlos Salgado.
