NABA Featherweight champion Andranik Grigoryan (13-0, 3 KOs) defended his title with a rare stoppage of Uruguayan veteran Caril Emir Herrera Collado (41-5, 25 KOs) inside of four rounds. The win came as the MATCH TV-aired co-feature Thursday evening from Lokomotiv Arena in Novosibirsk, Russia.

Grigoryan, 27, kicked off his career in Russia before relocating himself to Montreal, Canada. Coming back with a North American belt around his waist, Grigoryan was fighting for the second time since his comeback. Herrera, 40, last fought in February 2020, dropping a unanimous decision to 46-2-1 Frenchman Guillaume Frenois.

However, the Russia-based Armenian wasn't that merciful, staking the Uruguayan around the rind. Southpaw Herrera connected with some overhand right hooks but mostly just threw jabs in retreat. With each fought round, Herrera's stamina was dissipating in increasing tempo. Finally, Herrera slowed down enough to be taken by an onslaught by Grigoryan early into the fourth. Referee Roman Petrov showed more mercy than the Armenian, waving it off at 0:46 of the round four.

In a two-way, all-out action bantamweight Artem Tkachenko was put on a brink of defeat by a very late sub Turat Osmonov but escaped with a draw: 57-57, 57-57 and 57-57. Osmonov (4-1-1, 3 KOs) looked better than Tkachenko in certain departments but the favorite kept it close all the time. Tkachenko is now 6-0-1, 4 KOs.

Tajik-born Russia-bred former amateur standout Shahriyor Akhmedov (2-0, 1 KOs) convincingly outpointed professional opponent Victor Vezhlivtsev (0-6) over six. Vazhlivtsev has never been stopped before, and he hasn't been stopped today either.

Tanzanian super middleweight Twaha Kassim achieved what he had aimed at, going the distance with Kazakh prospect Bek Nurmaganbet (4-0, 2 KOs). Kassim lost virtually every round but showed solid chin in losin a unanimous decision over eight rounds. His record is now 17-8-1, 7 KOs. He has been stopped just once before.

Rapidly rising WBA #10 rated super bantamweight Yevgeniy Pavlov (4-0, 3 KOs) bombed out experienced Tanzanian import Nasibu Ramadhani (31-17-2, 18 KOs), eight years his senior, in five rounds.

Pavlov, 21, was quick, throwing multiple power combinations but Ramadhani was even quicker. The only difference was that the Tanzanian was quick in retreat but very reserved and off-target when throwing in return. Pavlov slowed Ramadhani down during the first four rounds, and delivered a huge overhand right to the temple early into the second minute of round five. The Tanzanian beat the count but was in no position to continue thus being counted out at approximately 1:05.

21-year-old Kazakh heavyweight prospect Danila Semenov (3-0, 2 KOs) made a very short work of former long-time South African heavyweight champion Osborn "Big Daddy" Machimana (23-14-2, 17 KOs). Semenov knocked him out with a picturesque orthodox one-two in the very first round.

In a TV-opener, huge Russian heavyweight Vladimir Ivanov delivered continuous beating to Azerbaijan import Tariel Jafarov (6-2, 6 KOs) to stop him at 1:17 of the second round. Jafarov was just eating too much leather despite not going down and winged wild, desperate swing in a futile effort to tag Ivanov (5-0, 4 KOs).
