Dusty Hernandez Harrison battered Les Sherrington Saturday night before the fight was stopped in round two Saturday night at Tysons Pkayground in Vienna, Virginia.

With the victory, Harrison, who resides in nearby Washington, DC, improves to 34-0-1, 20 knockouts.

Harrison last fought on July 19, stopping Juan De Angel in round 7 in nearby Oxon Hill, Maryland. He had won his previous three fights since a two-and-a-half-year hiatus from the ring due to promotional issues with Roc Nation, who he eventually split from.

From the opening bell, Harrison was on offensive from the opening bell, dominating the action with several combinations that connected to the head and body of Sherrington. One such combination to the head dropped Sherring in the opening bell.

The same occurred in round two as Harrison walked Sherrington down. A combination from Harrison dropped Sherrington again to the canvas and although the game Sherrington got up again, the end of the fight was near. Moments later, Harrison dropped Sherrington a second time in the round, third time in the fight. Referee Malik Waleed counted Sherrington out at 1:50.

“I’m just happy I was able to carry my speed to a higher weight class,” Harrison told Boxingscene Monday night. “Les Sherrington is a class act. I wish him the best in life.”

The 25-year-old, a former welterweight contender, will now campaign at 154 or 160 pounds.

Sherrington, who resides in Broadbeach, Australia, drops to 38-15, 22 KOs.

Heavyweight Mike Balogun, a resident of nearby Upper Marlboro, Maryland, stopped Adnan Buharalija at the end of the second round to improve to 16-0, 12 KOs. Buharalija, who is originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina and now resides in Norcross, Georgia, drops to 32-25-2, 23 KOs.

Junior welterweight Mazlum Akdenis (11-0, 6 KOs) of Montreal, Canada stopped Erie, Pennsylvania’s Elliott Brown (2-16, 2 KOs) at 2:02 of the opening round.
