On Friday night undefeated welterweight prospect Thomas Dulomre (16-0) kept his perfect record intact by defeating late sub Yoryi Estrella (10-8) of the Dominican Republic via unanimous decision. The final scores were 100-90 on all three scorecards.  Ivan Hernandez (29-3) was Dulorme's original opponent but pulled out of the fight because of visa issues.

Dulorme delighted his hometown fans in Carolina, Puerto Rico by outboxing Estrella and completely dominating him for ten rounds.  Both fighters are natural orthodox fighters but switched back and forth from orthodox to southpaw stances throughout the fight.

Estrella was badly wobbled in the seventh round but never went down.  Estrella showed a lot of heart and deserves credit for the amount of punishment he absorbed.

Estrella has been a measuring stick for many established boxers. He lost to Carlos Quintana by TKO and went the distance in losses against Randall Bailey and Antwone Smith.

Dulorme will have a quick turnaround as a deal to face tough Argentine Luis Carlos Abregu (32-1, 26KOs) on October 27th on HBO is nearly finalized.
