On February 8th at the CSKA Universal Sports Complex in Moscow, well-known 32-year-old Russian cruiserweight Grigory Drozd (33-1, 23KOs) will return to action. According to the promoter of the show Vladimir Hryunov, the likely opponent is Richard Hall (30-8, 28KOs), who is his last fight knocked out former champion O'Neil Bell in two rounds. Hryunov would like to get his boxer a rematch with former champion Firat Arslan (31-5-1, 20KOs), who in 2006 stopped Drozd in five rounds. Drozd has won his last eight fights.

"It wasn't by accident that we picked a very serious contender for Grigory Drozd. We have very big plans for him in the near future. The master plan for this year - is to organize a rematch between Grigory and Firat Arslan, who gave him the first and only defeat of his career, and then we'll continue to fight for a world title at cruiserweight. Drozd is in great shape and he is currently conducting a training camp in Chekhov, where WBA champion Denis Lebedev, among others, are helping him prepare," Drozd said.
