After his last knockout victory in November and the New Year's Eve parties, Yuniel Doritos has returned to the gym to start a new camp.

'The KO Doctor' begins this new stage in his career with a clear goal: to become world champion for the third time at cruiserweight.

Dorticos, who has just defeated Jesse Bryant on the M&R Boxing undercard held at Manuel Artime, hopes to meet his next opponent very soon.

The boxer's promoter, Caribe Promotions, is already making arrangements for his return to the ring.

"I am back and taking the first steps to achieve that third world championship," said Dorticos to George Ebro.

“That is something that I have in mind and that I owe to myself and to my fans. Big things are coming and we hope to make the most of them."

The Cuban slugger has already placed himself under the command of trainer Pedro Roque with his sights set on conquering his third title at cruiserweight and potential revenge against the only two men who have beaten him, such as Mairis Briedis and Murat Gassiev.

"For now we are looking for Dorticos to feel good again in his training routines," Roque explained. “Then we will do a more specific preparation when we know the name of his next opponent. We have two names in sight. But I think he looks very good, very strong.''

Dorticos undoubtedly broke the ice with his return to Miami and there is no doubt that his team will use his second round KO victory as a negotiating lever in search of more important fights, that will bring him closer to a crown at 200-pounds.

"It's my first day but I feel good, and especially to see these young people [in the gym] who have the burning fire," added Dorticos. "Seeing them motivates me more."
