New York - Boxing icon Don King and publicist Fred Sternburg are the newest members of the reformed Spiders from Mars, the band originally started by boxing matchmaker Rick Glaser, also known by his stage name of Mr. Shek. Glaser was later replaced in the band by David Bowie.

Don King has agreed to be the drummer of the band, replacing former Lightweight Champion Paul Spadafora who has moved to bass. Sternburg will play the keyboard and handle publicity for the upcoming tour, said lead guitarist and co-singer Michael Acri.

Rhythm guitarist Rick Reeno states "we have a dynamite lineup and we can't wait to start rehearsing this Monday at 2:30 AM."

Acri and Reeno are still holding out hope that Mr. Shek will resume his role as the lead singer as they prepare for the fall tour.  Also Reeno states "we will be auditioning two female backup singers for this tour. It's all in Sheky's hands whether he wants to join the band or live off of his laurels.

The tour is stilled unnamed but Acri is pushing for the title of "Shektified."

"We have to get some feedback from Don and Freddy," Acri said  Tour dates will be announced in August.
