German Titov (with a help of Kirill Pchelnikov) came back to the largest Ural city of Ekaterinburg to congratulate their beloved fans on the upcoming New Year and Christmas (in Russia their sequence is inverted). There were eight fights at Casino Vodoley (“Aquarius”) which featured a handful of talented boxers.

In possibly the biggest fight of the card, formerly ranked lightweight Dmitry Ganiev (13-1-1, 5 KOs) successfully came back after an injury-induced upset loss to unheralded Alexey Glukhov to confidently outpoint Kyrgyz Shavkat Madaminov (9-4, 3 KOs) over six rounds with a unanimous decision. In another important match-up, rising hard-hitter Sergey Kovalev (12-0, 10 KOs) was forced to go the distance for the second time in his career getting a unanimous six-round victory over tough-as-nails Karen Avetisyan (3-2-1, 1 KO). And in the sole kayo of the night, Ruslan Khayrtdinov (8-0, 3 KOs) landed a crisp body shot midst into the third, which had his opponent Vadim Sufianov (6-12-1, 2 KOs) down and out for a time being.
