Junior bantamweight Dewayne Beamon knocked out Jose Alfredo Rodriguez late Saturday night at the Abundant Life Christian Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Beamon, who resides in nearby Goldsboro, improves to 12-0, with 9 knockouts.

The 31-year-old Beamon, who was also the promoter of Saturday's card, has won his last six bouts by knockout. He currently holds a handful of regional title belts.

Rodriguez, who resides in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico, drops to 32-6, with 19 KOs.

Junior welterweight Zachary Ochoa returned to the ring for the first time in almost five months, winning a one-sided six round decision over veteran Ariel Vasquez.

All three judges scored the bout 60-54 in favor of Ochoa, who improves to 17-1, with 7 KOs.

Ochoa, who is from Brooklyn, N.Y., was stopped after the seventh round of his last fight against Yves Ulysses, Jr. on March 11.

Lightweight Thomas Mattice (9-0, with 7 KOs) remained unbeaten, knocking out John David Charles (9-12-1 1 NC, with 1 KO) at 2:09 of the sixth and final round.

Mattice, who is from Cleveland, Ohio, has won four of his last five bouts by knockout.
