Derek Chisora has teamed up with Anthony Joshua ahead of a potential ring return.

The Finchley heavyweights are now working together after ex-British and European champion ‘Del Boy’s’ split with manager David Haye.

Chisora, a staple of the British heavyweight scene for the best part of the last decade, most recently lost a decision to New Zealander Joseph Parker at the AO Arena in Manchester, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office, back in May.

And now the 37-year-old has inked terms with 258 Management and is set to have his career guided by the group responsible for Joshua, Lawrence Okolie and Joshua Buatsi.

Okolie is the current WBO world champion at cruiserweight, while Olympic bronze medallist Buatsi holds the WBA International title down at light-heavyweight.

"Derek has vast experience of the game and has seen the whole industry from the front-line,” said Freddie Cunningham, the managing director at 258, who is delighted to have Chisora on board.

Chisora, who has shared the ring with Vitali Klitschko, the aforementioned Haye and current WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury –– who is set to take on Deontay Wilder in their trilogy outing on October 9 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas –– is showing no signs of slowing down and hopes that Joshua, the WBO, IBF, WBA Super and IBO champion in the sport’s premier division who takes on former undisputed cruiserweight king Oleksandr Usyk on September 25 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and Ireland, as well as Cunningham and co., will be able to breathe fresh air into the back end of his career.

“He feels the 258 team can add to what he is doing,” Cunningham continued. “We are excited to get going and looking to negotiate and build-up to big fights before the year is out.”

Details of Chisora’s ring return will be revealed in due course.
