According to sources in Russian, undefeated Polish contender Pawel Kolodziej (33-0, 18KOs) is still very much a frontrunner candidate to face WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev (25-2, 19KOs). Lebdev's promoter Andrei Ryabinsky is having positive discussions to make the fight.

Lebedev has not fought since May of 2013, when he was knocked out by Guillermo Jones in eleven rounds. A rematch was scheduled for April, but canceled only a few hours before the fighters were scheduled to enter the ring - when it was revealed that Jones failed a pre-fight drug test.

The Polish contender has been inactive since last November, but overall fought three times in 2013.
