Crocus City Arena, Moscow, Russia - Denis Lebedev (24-1, 18KOs) knocked out Shawn Cox (16-2, 15KOs) in two rounds to retain his WBA interim-cruiserweight title. Cox was swinging from the start and landed two big punches to push Lebedev back. A left cross from Cox shook Lebedev's legs. In a stylistic nightmare for both boxers, highly ranked Russian Alexander Bakhtin (29-0, 11 KOs) acquired the vacant WBA international super bantamweight title after a dull and uneventful decision over former WBA 118lb interim titleholder Nehomar Cermeno (20-5-1, 12 KOs), ranked #11 by the WBA.

Scores were: 119-109 (Giuseppe Quartarone and Andrey Baliasov) and 117-111 (Philippe Verbecke) - for WBC #4, WBA #5 and IBF #12 Bakhtin. BoxingScene saw it 118-110. Referee was Ingo Barrabas. There were no knockdowns.

Quick and elusive American journeyman Jonte Willis (8-3-1, 3 KOs) delivered a boxing lesson to slow and unfocused Russian veteran Denis Bakhtov (34-7, 23 KOs) only to be held to a controversial eight-round split decision loss. Scores were: 78-75, 78-74 and 75-78 - for Bakhtov. Bitterly disappointed, Willis still danced for the local fans afterwards. BoxingScene scored the fight for Willis: 77-75.

Russian lightweight Eduard Troyanovskiy improved to 10-0, with 7 KOs, after a workmanlike unanimous decision over Belarussian Evgueny Kruglik (10-15-3, 2 KOs) in a six-rounder.
