FOR the second time in his career, Harmonito dela Torre will be seeing action in a card that will be headlined by eight division world champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.

And just like in his first outing, Dela Torre is bent on putting on a show.

Dela Torres will be taking on unbeaten Chinese fighter Yongqiang Yang as part of the undercard of the main event of the Pacquiao vs. Lucas Matthysse duel on July 14 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

“I am very happy to be fighting again on the undercard of Senator Pacquiao. I am training hard as I am facing an undefeated Chinese boxer,” said Dela Torre.

Dela Torre fought on the undercard of the Pacquiao-Brandon Rios bout in Macau in November of 2013 wherein the Sanman Boxing Gym stalwart scored a third-round knockout win over Indonesia’s Jason Butar Butar.

Dela Torre is looking to pull off a repeat performance against the taller Yang, who is yet to lose in 10 fights with seven knockout wins.

“He is taller than me but it will not bother me as I know a lot of Filipinos will be in the arena and I will use that as my extra power during the fight,” said the five-foot-eight Dela Torre, an inch shorter than Yang.

Dela Torre (19w-1L-0D, 12KOs) is aiming to get back on track after losing for the first time in his career against Mongolian Tugstsogt Nyambayar on November 18, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to Jim Claude Manangquil, CEO of Sanman Promotions, Dela Torre is used to fighting on the big stage and that he will step into ring very well prepared.

“Harmonito is very confident and has been looking good in the training. He’s been here before so there’s no pressure on his part,” said Manangquil.
