Super bantamweight contender Orlandito Del Valle (22-2) recently informed BoxingScene.com that he will be facing unbeaten prospect Diego De La Hoya (15-0) on the Canelo Alvarez-Liam Smith undercard at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The bout will likely open up the televised portion of the HBO pay-per-view undercard and will serve as another bout in the famed Puerto Rico versus Mexico rivalry.

Del Valle, who is from Bayamon, Puerto Rico, is riding a four fight winning streak and will be the best opponent that the 22-year-old De La Hoya, who is Oscar De La Hoya's cousin, has faced in his young career.  Diego, who is from Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, has fought twice in 2016, with both victories coming via knockout.

Alvarez recently dropped his WBC middleweight title to face the unbeaten Smith who holds the WBO super welterweight title.

The rest of the pay-per-view undercard is expected to be announced in the next few weeks.
