The latest edition of 'Golden Boy on ESPN' takes place on Saturday night on ESPN2 (8 pm, ET) from the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles.

The main event features highly regarded junior welterweight prospect, Vergil Ortiz, who faces former two-time world champion, Juan Carlos Salgado.

"It's obviously a step-up fight, we have a young kid who is on the verge of becoming special," said the founder of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar De La Hoya, of the 20-year old from Dallas, Texas.

Ortiz is undefeated, with no opponent reaching distance - and a record tally of 9-0 (9 KO's).

"We strongly believe Vergil Ortiz can be one of those fighters that we can move fast and get him to a world title in a couple of years and we believe that Vergil can be a force at 140 and 147 pounds. We're excited about this Saturday."
