There is finally an answer to the weeks-long question of how U.S. boxing fans can watch the Oleksandr Usyk-Anthony Joshua rematch.

DAZN confirmed stateside distribution rights, announcing Sunday that a deal was officially reached to carry the anticipated unified heavyweight title fight. The sports streaming platform was the frontrunner to land the event but was forced to sit on the news until all lingering matters were resolved which finally came this weekend.

The show will air live from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia beginning 12:00 pm ET. The start time is in line with the Sky Sports Box Office feed, which airs live in the UK beginning 6:00 pm in country and 8:00 p.m. local time in Jeddah.

Usyk (19-0, 13KOs) attempts the first defense of the WBA/IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight titles he claimed in a twelve-round upset win over England's Joshua last September in East London. The feat saw the Ukrainian southpaw become a two-division champion, having previously held the undisputed cruiserweight championship.

“I am working hard in my training camp to be in the best shape possible for the rematch," said Usyk, who will wrap up his training camp in Dubai to make his way to Jeddah for fight week. "With the help of the Lord I will overcome the biggest challenges to make it happen. I want the crowd to be excited with the fight, I want them to remember it for a lifetime.”

The rematch between Olympic Gold medalists—both claiming hardware in 2012 London—was delayed by several months, in part due to the ongoing Russo-Ukraine war in which Usyk was briefly required to serve. Usyk stepped down from his post on March 22 to resume his career, as a father of three young children makes him exempt from Ukraine martial law requiring fit men aged 18 to 60 from serving during wartime.

Joshua (24-2, 22KOs) aims to become a three-time heavyweight titlist, enlisting the services of noted trainer Robert Garcia to man his corner for his latest revenge tour. The hulking Brit was in this position before, suffering a seventh-round knockout to Andy Ruiz in June 2019 to end his first unified title reign before regaining the belts six months later in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

Just one successful defense came of his second reign before losing to Usyk last September. Now it's time for some get-back.

"August 20 is set to be an unbelievable night of Championship level boxing," insisted Joshua. "For any sports fan this is not to be missed, it has all the ingredients to go down in boxing history."

DAZN also announced shoulder programming to accompany the event. Its ongoing DAZN Boxing Show will air live on-site throughout fight week.
