Heavyweight contender David Tua admits that his career would likely be over is a he suffered a loss in his rematch with Monte Barrett on August 13 in Manukau. They fought to a draw last year in Atlantic City. In the final round of the fight, Tua was hurt and suffered the first legit knockdown of his pro career. Tua's stamina failed him after a few rounds. He spent the early rounds looking for a knockout and it zapped him of his energy. This time Tua is training to go the full distance because his career is at stake.

"I've been working very hard. I will go 12 rounds if I have to. The win is the most important thing and I want to win well. If it is to be by points, so be it... I'm prepared for anything," Tua said to Fairfax Media.
