I said before Sunday afternoon's Rotherham Magna Centre show that I could end up having a couple losses as my prospects were in real fights. I wasn't far off!

Navid Mansouri drew last night, strained ankle ligaments in round two as he went over from a right hand to top of the head. Fought back brilliantly to stay unbeaten. Showed balls and determination along with fitness in a great fight. Don't forget Nav only had about 10 amateurs, great learning fight! Nav is now 7-0-1 (2).

Jay Morris again put a dent in one of my unbeaten's, Jerome losing a controversial 4 rounder despite cutting and closing up Morris' eye. Great low blows and rough head work from Jay as he taught Wilson what the game is about - Real fights make real fighters. Wilson showed a lot in that fight and at light-welter will come back stronger, he showed after only four fights he belongs at Morris' level. Jerome is 4-1 (2).

Curtis Woodhouse is back with an impressive 2 round win over Billy Smith, not many stop Billy and it was good to see Curtis back to winning ways to go 15-2 (10). Stay tuned for some big news for him!

Lee Murtagh put in a vintage performance against Bobby Wood. He boxed to orders and made a potentially hard fight easy to go 28-12-1.

Thanks to all for turning up, times are hard and I appreciate the support. These kids are trying to achieve something with their lives, win or lose they are putting their lives on the line and entertaining the fans. Every fighter wants to box in front of their friends/family and boxing fans.

Respect to the likes of Jay Morris and Dee Mitchell, fighters like those are what the kids need, prepares them for the tough nights ahead in order to reach British title level.

Can't wait for the next show, more exciting fights where you don't know who's gonna win is what the crowd want, and the crowd will get.
