David Adeleye secured his first win in the paid ranks inside the distance.

The 22-year-old took on Dmitrij Kalinovskij at the Copper Box Arena in London.

Adeleye, from London, was a Junior ABA champion in 2013 and won the Senior ABA Novices in 2017 before winning the Senior ABAs the following year. He also represented England in an international against Denmark in 2018, also winning gold at the British Universities and Colleges Sport Boxing Championships.

The referee called a halt to proceedings after just two minutes and 25 seconds, as part of the supporting cast to the return of Tommy Fury and heavyweight sensation Daniel Dubois’ WBO International title defence against Japan’s Kyotaro Fujimoto in which the pair will also vie for the vacant WBC Silver belt.

Adeleye combined a successful stint in the amateurs with studies at the University of Wolverhampton, from where he graduated last year with a degree in Business Management.

And he will be looking to get back in action sooner rather than later after a blistering beginning to his professional campaign

Meanwhile, Troy Williamson claimed a title with a 10th-round stoppage win.

The North East super-welterweight was taking on Dario Socci for the vacant IBF European title at the weight and the referee, Steve Gray, waved the fight off after one minute and 55 seconds of the 10th.

Williamson, from Darlington, moves to 13-0-1 (10 KOs) with the win and adds a fifth calendar year quick finish to his ledger.

Chris Bourke continued to tear through anybody put in front of him as he stormed past Louis Norman inside the distance.

Bourke remained undefeated with a third-round stoppage over former English super-flyweight champion Norman after the referee called a halt to proceedings after two minutes and 46 seconds of the round.

Cruiserweight James Branch kicked off the show with a stoppage victory over Istvan Orsos in the fourth round.

He moved to 7-0 with the win and was joined in getting wins by Mickey Burke Jr., the returning Louie Lynn, Mohammed Bilal Ali and debutant Henry Turner.

Maidstone’s Sam Noakes stopped Daryl Pearce in round three of his second professional fight at lightweight and Denzel Bentley added a 10th stoppage to his 12-fight ledger against the game Adam Grabiec.
