Darren Surtees will be back in the ring next month.

The County Durham man ended the challenge of Kane Baker inside two rounds in his last outing.

The pair clashed on the undercard of Callum Smith’s seventh-round stoppage over George Groves in the World Boxing Super Series super-middleweight final last Saturday.

And after beating Birmingham’s Baker at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium’s indoor arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the 24-year-old has already been given another fight date.

He will be in action on November 3 at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.

Surtees has been added to the supporting cast of the World Boxing Super Series doubleheader with Josh Taylor and Ryan Burnett.

Taylor defends his WBC Silver super-lightweight title against Ryan Martin at the quarter-final stage of the second season of the competition, while bantamweight world champion Ryan Burnett will put his WBA Super crown at stake against Nonito Donaire, the former world champion who was last in action against Carl

Frampton back in April, on the same card also at the quarter-final stage.

Michael McGurk, Stephen Tiffney and Kieran Smith have all been added to the bill, with further names to be revealed in due course.
