On Friday, June 14th, Roc Nation Sports heavyweight boxer Darmani Rock (16-0, 11 KOs) defeated Raymond Ochieng (26-24, 21 KOs) in his competitor’s home state of Florida at the Maxwell Snyder Armory in Jacksonville. The defeat came by way of knockout in the second round as Rock served Ochieng a crushing right hand body shot.

Rock’s third fight of 2019 and one of his most impressive bouts to date, he takes this win in hopes of securing a high-profile fight later in 2019.

“Not every fight goes as you plan it too,” said Rock. “Sometimes you must adapt to the competitors fighting styles in the moment. However, I have a big surprise for my next fight. Pay attention to the numbers to see what’s coming.”

Rock’s last match on April 26th saw the heavyweight fighter defeat Mike Bisset via technical knockout. A win in Jacksonville will continue Rock’s unblemished professional career and sets himself up for a higher caliber fight later in 2019.

“Darmani is still maturing his body and fine tuning his skills, but once he puts it all together, the sky’s the limit,” said Roc Nation Sports boxing promoter Dino Duva. “A only 23 years old and with his natural boxing ability and power, has the potential to be the next superstar in the heavyweight division.”
