Top rated lightweight contender Dante “Crazy” Jardon (29-5, 22 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over former world champion Juan Carlos Salgado (26-6-1, 16 KOs). Jardon retains his WBC International championship at Arena Coliseo in Mexico City. The scores were 118-110, 117-112 and 116-112.

The event was televised in Mexico by Televisa Deportes.

"This fight took it very seriously because I know the danger of my opponent. He is a tough fighter that can punch and you have to give him a lot of respect," Jardon said. "I like to fight in the Arena Coliseo, to hear the support of the people, to know that they cry for what I do in the ring, because that motivates me to give 200%.

"Jorge Linares is a fight that really catches my attention because he is considered among the best in the world, and it would be a great challenge for me as a professional to face and defeat him," Jardon concluded.

Salgado will have to rethink his fighting future after losing his fifth fight in a row. He was upset last year by lightly regarded Jairo Lopez (who was later knocked out in two rounds by Jardon) and can't seem to regain the form that he had when he upset Linares with a first round knockout in 2009.
