Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - Light heavyweight contender Edwin Rodriguez (30-2, 20 KOs) won an uninspired ten round unanimous decision over Lionell Thompson (19-4, 11 KOs). The scores were 96-94, 97-93, 97-93.

Rodriguez had a lot of trouble with Thompson's movement and was unable to connect with many of his big punches. Thompson stayed on the move for the entire fight and rarely threw more than one punch at a time, which allowed Rodriguez to do most of the work.

Lightweight contender Ladarius Miller (15-1, 4 KOs) dropped and stopped Carlos Padilla (16-7) in the second round.

In a battle of undefeated super featherweights, Sulaiman Segawa (9-0,3 KOs) won a six round split decision over Brian Gallegos (6-1, 4 KOs). The scores were 58-56, 58-56 for Segawa and 58-56 for Gallegos.

Middleweight prospect Jonathan Esquivel (7-0, 6 KOs) battered Cameron Burroughs (4-23, 3 KOs) for a second round stoppage.

In a junior middleweight contest, Joey Spencer (1-0, 1 KO), who is managed by Al Haymon, made his pro debut with a second stoppage of Uriel Gonzalez (1-3-1, 1 KO). Gonzalez was taking a beating in the first round and went down from a hook to the body in the final ten seconds.

Gonzalez continued to take a one-sided beating the second round, which forced his corner to throw in the towel.
