Welterweight prospect Daniel Rosario Cruz (8-0, 7 KO's) will fight for the WBO Latino title when he takes on seasoned Mexican Edgar Ortega (14-1, 10 KO's) in bout scheduled for 10 rounds. This fight takes place on August 8th and will be part of the successful series Boxeo Telemundo and will be televised live from the Foro Polanco in Mexico City.

Earlier this year, Rosario was recognized by the WBO as one of the 10 most outstanding prospects from Puerto Rico, along  with Felix Verdejo and Manny Rodriguez, among others. Besides having an undefeated record, he had an impressive amateur career where he amassed a 177-14 record while winning multiple national and international tournaments.

Rosario is a product of the famous gym in Caguas Bairoa and is trained by Evangelista Cotto.
